A fun, fun, fun slide whistle. I actually bought 3 of them for all my boys. The sounds are great- reminds me of the SpongeBob episode which was my inspiration for buying them :) . They arrive boxed and have instructions on how to care for them. The Slide whistle is well constructed and sturdy. It should last them a lifetime.

Excellent slide whistle. I've tried others that are intended as toys, but too often either they don't slide well or they leak too much air. This, on the other hand, was manufactured to function as an actual musical instrument and can be played fairly accurately. I find that the range on mine is from E4 on the low end to around B6 or C7 at the top. It has a nice tone, too.Apparently there is some way to open it to lubricate the piston, but I can't seem to figure out how to open mine. Fortunately it plays well without intervention, so far.
